I don't think that's true.
Doesn't fit at all with what I believe, but I know that it's an important cornerstone of the Jewish religion, that one "lives on" through descendants. It's why it is so important in their religion or even just in Jewish culture (for secular Jews) to name their children after a relative (either deceased or not, I don't know which, but believe it is specific)

I don't agree. I believe we all are immortal just changing our bodies once the old one is worn. We come back in a new form and the cycle goes on and on till we are one with our maker.....

Hmm, I don't think so, because it means are ancestors from a million years ago are immortal too.
Would you want Adolf Hitler to be immortal? Not me. ;-)
