#1 Unitas, the best QB ever and he was taken in the 9th round (2 rounds later than Brady)

#2 Shannon Sharpe, leads TE in receiving categories. 7th round

#3 Reggie White, taken in the supplemental draft and came to the NFL through USFL

#4 Chris Carter, also taken in the supplemental draft

#5 George Blanda, 12th rounder

************************

Answering some comments below. It's true that there were 10 teams, a 7th rounder was about the 70-80th overall, but that means there were less football players and less positions to fill, about 30% compared to these days. So, we can say the round number was proportional to nowadays.

It's not the same being the 100th overall among 10 teams (10th pick made by a specific team) than 100th overall among 32 teams (3rd or 4th player picked by the specific team).

Most GB fans will tell you Starr was picked in the 17th round. They don't mention the lower number of teams back then.

Starr was pick #200 to Tom Brady's #199.

By the skin of his teeth Starr gets #1.

(Saints fans, yes Colston. Unfortunately the QB position far out weighs the Wide Receiver position.)

I agree about morons talking rounds. Give us the position number.
