By using others toothbrushes you risk HIV, Hepititus, STDs, bacterial and viral infections especially when you aren't aware of them or that people were not honest enough to be up front about it.

I'd use someone else's and I would let them use mine. Depends on who it is though! I'd share with my mum, my kids, my boyf or my closest female friends, but not anyone else. Basically if you love someone enough that you would look after them if they were hurt or ill, then what is the problem in sharing a toothbrush when you are both healthy? Once you have hugged a child who has been sick down themselves you get a bit of perspective about weighing up total hygiene and caring about people. If someone I love needs to borrow my toothbrush I'd feel a bit precious, not to mention mean, saying no I don't want to catch anything.
It's only an emergency thing though - I wouldn't be be a one toothbrush family or anything - that would be rather weird!!

No. you observe, David--i have were given OCD. ok, so i have by no potential been clinically determined even though it truly is incredibly glaring that i have were given it. besides, i have were given a ingredient about hand washing and such issues as that...all that germ-appropriate stuff that human beings fairly typically affiliate with OCD. So, yeah--i will by no potential use some different person's toothbrush.

Sharing a toothbrush is a great way to spread diseases like AIDS, because people's gums bleed when they brush, and that blood stays on the toothbrush.

The only other persons toothbrush I would use is my child's and even that would be as a last resort. I could not imagine ever using anyone else's. ewe just the thought of it . Funny how we can do stuff that's ewe for our kids but couldn't for anyone else.

I don't really like to...at all.
However, I did borrow a friend's toothbrush once before a disco after we'd eaten since she offered it to me, I didn't want my breath to smell...and if I didn't accept I would have felt rude.
This was an exception to the rule. Usually I would say 'eeewww, no.'

No, I couldn't. I wonder if it is a male thing. I would kiss my girlfriend passionately yet I would not share my toothbrush.
