You can still get them at Wal-Mart. I still love em and so do my daughters!

I thought I was the only one that chewed the wax. What about those mouth things?! They looked like funny lips and they had like a little piece that you bit on to hold it, they were tasty too or the lick-a-made with the stick. Old favorites

The orange and red were the best! I loved those!

And yes, I used to chew the wax, too, until it was a big ball. They're called Nik-L-Nips!

I loved the flavors tried to refill with soda or kool aid...
I took the wax melted it in my palms made birds and painted them the blue bird of happiness with grand orange under bellies..With my oil paint set...I made a whole bird family ...
It gets no better to say it was my last childhood Easter.

Yes, they were soooooooooo good. Or, at least I thought they were. What do you suppose they were made of if they aren't made anymore.

My cousins and I would go racing to "Nichols" penny candy store in Quincy, Mass, to get them and the wax lips.

yea I remember those, they were good and I did the same thing after drinking it I would chew the wax lol. and that was way back. lol.

they were called nick-L-nips....
and they were the bomb!
loved em as a kid! and yeah the wax got chewed but gawd, it tasted awful after the liquid was gone! LOL

I do remember them, also the little blue, green, yellow and pink dots of candy on paper.
I couldn't find ribbon candy for years and remember it being my fav at xmas and then I found some and about gagged at the taste. Memories are sometimes left better in our minds. good question.

Oh yes. Saw them in a catalog with some old time candies--thought about putting in an order.
