Actually my son just finished a season of basketball with a woman coach, first season as well. I don't know if she was liberal or not, but her attitude towards the children was very equal (which is honest liberalism). They were in first place, undefeated until they went up against the team, that cheated and coached by an ex roid head who would cuss at his team (they are 11 and 12). And this team cheated because they knew that we were better then them.

I'll tell ya that at the all star game and awards she brought in her own trophies for the kids and the youth center was quite upset about it. Her whole attitude was "oh well".

I would love for her to be my sons coach again.

I don't really care as long as they aren't homosexual and alone with the coach.

If the coach talked politics, my son would show him the truth in a hot second. We homeschool and he knows how to think for himself. If the coach didn't play him. Well other teams are looking for 16 year old pitchers who pitch 80 pmh with a nasty cutter, and basketball centers who are 6 ft 5 and 205 lbs.

Of course ! I remember quite well the last soccer WM in Germany. The USA Team is still keen on having the German liberal Coach- !!! guess why
;-) HE IS THE BEST !!!!!!

Anyway, sports shouldn't be a political issue, don't you think ? ;-)

Well IF my son or daughter was on a sports team coached by a liberal, this is what we could expect......

* Don't run too fast, you'll offend the other players.
* Give the worste player a chance when the game's on the line.
* Not fair that players get water and benchwarmers didn't.
* Give the other team a chance cuz they're not as good.
* Don't play to win because it's about having "fun".
* It's okay to discriminate against you because you're white.

No, I would want my kid to know the importance of competition, winning and losing! With a liberal coach, all kids are winners, yay! Even the ones that don't deserve it. All this tells our kids is, working hard for something and knowing the value and importance of competition are less important than making the losers feel good.....They're gonna grow up expecting everything to be handed to them, we are raising a bunch of sniveling sissies with this concept! Don't you think hard work and winning after knowing defeat feels much better than a phony false sense of security 'everybody wins' mentality? I sure as hell do.

I really wouldn't ask what their political affiliations were before letting my child be coached. I might ask if they have ever coached before.
But the first time that coach shows up naked to a game with "go team" written across their rear end...Oh it's on!
Keep political statements where they belong, in adult conversation.

My two oldest kids play t-ball for a liberal coach. Doesn't seem to be an issue.

I have to say though I dislike the whole "there are no losers" thing.

Yes defiantly because
Republican coaches are always
obese and would only teach my
kids how to eat in massive quantities.

Southern Republicans think eating contests
are a true form of sports....go figure!

As long as the coach does not talk politics to my children, I could care less. My concerns are that he not be a child molester, he know the sport he is coaching, and he teaches the importance of being a good sport along with the importance of winning. 2nd place is just the 1st loser.

Yes! That would prevent a kid from playing for most black coaches and many white legends like Joe Paterno, Vince Lombardi, Dean Smith and Phil Jackson to name a few.
