I just had my house renovated. I had the house which is 1600 sq feet completely re-tiles with porcelain ceramic tiles. I had the walls in the bathrooms tiled also. I also had the entire house re-painted.

Now the cleanup. I am having a cleaning company come today. 2 girls to clean the entire house and windows for $160.00

She told me that it would take them both a total of 5 hours. I think $160.00 is reasonable. She said that they are bringing a machine (or machines) to clean the tile. The machine gets up to 95 degrees farenheit (she can adjust the temperature)

I am scared with my new tiles. There is some paint on the tiles and on the grout from the painting though.

The tiles are also dirty from the major renovations thatI had as well. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The cleaners should be asked if they have insurance and if they have it will be ok after you have them done get a decent mop keep it very clean and mop your tiles witth the same amount of dishwashing liquid in a ten litre bucket as you use to do the dishes I find it keeps the floor as shiny as the plates and very clean ~~ 25 years of cleaning co management.

If it was me I would not let them use the machine on the both tiles especially if it has just been laid. I have clean house and offices for over 20 years I would think twice before I would let them use a machine on the tile when it gets that hot. Also if it was me I do tile floors all the time I use a product called simple green dilute with water. Simple Green is a natural product non toxic. I would recommend to them to wet mop the floor. It may take a couple of cleanings to get it cleaned. Before they wet mop the tile floor. They need to sweep the tile with a sweeper that has a attachments on it. I clean a house now that has porcelain tile I do this every time I clean the tile floor. Another suggestion call the company that did your ceramic-porcelain tile and see what they recommend. I would think the machine might be to harsh on the tile.

Also I agree with the second answer make sure they are insured

You can buy a special porcelain tile cleaner, talk to someone in your local hardware store...I wouldn't let anyone do anything thing till you research whats recommended... maybe call the manufacture and find out what they recommend...
