My first thought is that you are completely innumerate. In 2006 our trade deficit with China was 233 billion dollars. That accounted for just over 25% of our total trade deficit in 2006. Our total trade deficit was around 1 trillion dollars, or about 232 times smaller than the figure you claim. Yes, the 1 trillion dollar trade deficit is a real problem, and threat to our economy. Our nations shift away from manufacturing, and insatiable appetite for cheap foreign goods accounts for the deficit. What is our plan to eliminate the deficit, or at least close the gap. That is something I am very concerned about.

National debt is around 8 trillion. Trade deficit 300 Bill or so?

People in the U.S. consume so much. Lot's of fiscal irresponsibility as well as a skewed sense of reality.

The US should stop assisting other countries. We are never paid back. I also find it strange that when whe attack another country, we spend trillions to repair it!! I believe we should worry about the ills and plagues of this country instead of traipsing off playing war games with people who had done nothing to us in the first place. GOD forbid a war breaks out here. We won't have enough troops to protect us.

Cut the taxes! America was made with production and initiative, not with taxes. Also cut all other non-productive cost, mostly administration and so. Than US can beat Japan and Korea:)
