How do I fix it? Please, answer soon. I restarted the computer several times, moved the Applications into my Desktop, and still, they were in the Trash. I opened the Trash folder, they weren't there.

It is fun to be thinking about macs again after all this windows stuff.
But this sounds like a virus to me. So now you have nothing?
Reformat and reinstall. You won't be the first to have to do this.
Be careful where you go and get a firewall and one and only one active anti-virus protection and several passive ones.

Start by giving a clear description of what you have and what is happening. What version of Mac OS X? Do you use an external hard drive with it? Was the external drive connected when this problem started? If so, reconnect the external driv e and see what you can find.

You say opposite things so I can't tell if "still, they were in the trash" or "opened the trash, they weren't there". If they are in the trash, they are there. If the trash is empty, their gone.

You say you moved the applications onto the desktop? Or do you mean you tried to move them onto your desktop but they didn't appear on the desktop? If the latter, did you get a message about that from the system? Seems to me, if you try to move something and it doesn't go, maybe you would see a message.

Most applications are owned by "System" which means you can't muck around with them much. Sometimes the system fails to stop you from moving an item it owns to the trash but stands firm in preventing you from making any further moves. This is one of the most irritating things about Mac OS. I think you need a true Mac geek to help you by activating the root user which gives more control over the system or by using the "sudo" argument in the Terminal application. Either of these methods may open up a way to get things back in order. Either of these ways can make things much worse if you don't know how to do it. Time for a hands-on expert unless you want to reinstall all those applications. Even that won't get anything out of your trash.

Vista is a comedian tale; far too many issues it! i'm very annoyed because of the fact I paid lots money for a a million/2-baked product. i bought a MacBook a pair of weeks in the past, upgraded to Leopard some days in the past and that i quite like it! I used to think of Mac clientele have been purely BS'ing while they suggested Macs "purely artwork", besides the undeniable fact that this is real. i've got used domicile windows all my existence yet i'm chuffed i've got finally considered the sunshine. OS X is the destiny; i'll purely use vista at artwork because of the fact I haven't any decision.
