I left a stack of papers in my German teacher's classroom. She found them and went through every paper and managed to find a diary entry that had fallen out of my journal.

It didn't mention anything about suicide or harming other people, but it did give reference to drugs, and she says she's a "mandated reporter" for these types of things.

I thought the only thing she's supposed to report upon are indications that I may hurt myself or others, not petty little angsty diary entries. What are my rights in this situation? Is this invasion of privacy? She is going to give it to my guidance counselor.

It is not an invasion of privacy because you made the mistake (not her) of mixing in your journal/diary with your classroom papers. The error was due to carelessness on your part, therefore, you lost your rights to privacy by doing so.

As your teacher left with your now public information, she is free to do with them whatever she wants. Be thankful another student didn't end up with them lest they would likely be posted on the internet for all to see.

If you are doing drugs per your journal entries, she is free to give it to your guidance counselor, your parents or the police.

Okay first of all when do diary entries end up in a stack of papers in any classroom. Diaries belong in your room under a lock and key.
So the guidance counselor will most likely just talk to you a few minutes and return the paperwork. You might get a notation in your jacket if she feels its important. Don't make a big deal about something that small.. and remember to take all your stuff with you and if there is anything in your locker you don't want public knowledge keep it at home too.. you never know when people could break into them.

Since you left the papers in a "public" area you can have no real expectation for privacy. As for the reporting, most states have laws that require teachers to report certain things. Even without the laws your teacher is doing the right thing by reporting evidence of possible drug use.

It is her duty to report this ....sorry. You really don't have any rights in this matter. So you will have to speak to your guidance counselor a few times...no biggie. If you are doing drugs maybe you need to speak to your guidance counselor or somebody. Get help before it becomes a major problem, maybe this is a blessing in disguise.
