I need to make one for my English project which is on the book "The Last Silk Dress". I already blew up a balloon and attached a small basket to the bottom of it (which looks really bad haha). What else can I add to make it look like a real how air balloon? Or are there other easier ways to make one? THANKS! = ]

This site will show you how one should look. You should get a large punching ball to use as the balloon, and a novelty fish net to cover the top and over the sides. You could use matching string attached to the netting to hold on the basket. Refer to the photo, The ball and netting can be found at Party City. Look for the net in the luau section.

This is probably WAY too easy/it's from a Sunday School project we are doing w/the children:

Take a small garbage bag, attach several strings w/paper clips on the ends (for weight) and while holding the strings in one hand, use a blow dryer to inflate the thing....will simulate a hot air balloon.

Maybe that's too childish---just an easy idea.

Good luck!!
