if people twist around the scripture it is a very barbaric one, just look at the Muslim extremist groups...
if people actually take the scripture and realize what it is really saying without twisting it around, it is a very peaceful and enlightened religion.
same is true of all religions though, Christianity can be a enlightened religion or a barbaric one...it all depends on ones interpretation of the scripture.

Islam is a good religion but it is perceived bad by others because of the terrorism being sowed by the extremists.
