Don't move her! Any live-bearer female will be damaged by being netted or stressed in any way when near to birthing. They should be left alone for at least two weeks before the event. If you are concerned about the fry,get a couple bundles of "bunch" plants,Water Wisteria or Anacharis, and float them in the tank so the female and her fry can have hiding places. An isolation tank for birthing is a good idea, but the timing is very important. Small bowls or breeding traps just make it easy for the parent fish to eat their fry.

They will give birth where ever they happen to be. I would strongly recommend against a bowl however as they often eat any babies they can catch. A tank with tons and tons of hiding places is the best bet.

No it isn't trure mollies will give birth anywhere. mollies will give birth when they are ready and where ever they are. The only real place you should move your mollie to is a birthing net if you feel that is important. Moving the female that is pregers tends to stress them opening the doors to ich, which is not a good thing with new fry arriving.

Remember your mollie can have from 1-25+ babies at one time and if there is a male in the tank, she will be pregers all the time having fry approx. every 28-30 days.

I wouldn't suggest moving her to a bowl. The tank is fine for her.

Good luck and congrads on the new arrivals
