yes they can and unfortunately they will ruin your credit if you dont pay . Of course you could take her to court again and make the judge make her pay them or loose custody of her son .

Yes, because it is YOUR name on the health insurance, which makes you responsible.
Speak to your lawyer about enforcing your divorce agreement- however, it has been my experience from being married to a man much like your own wife that it's like getting blood from a stone.
Your son's health is what's important- continue to pay the bills, and put your son before your financial concerns and your ex-wife.

It all depends. It's not so much that he is on your insurance. What matters to the doctor who wants the bill paid is whose name the bill is in.

Let me explain: if you have a court order that stipulates she is to pay 50% of the uninsured medical bills, and she fails to do that, she is in default and you can have a judgment placed against her.

Bottom line: if the bill is in YOUR name and she is court ordered to pay half and does not do that, it will affect YOUR name and credit right off the bat, not hers. The bill people will come looking for you even though SHE is supposed to be paying her half.

Take her butt back to family court, she is disobeying court orders. Talk to your lawyer to see if there is something that can be done in order to get reimburse or have her half of the bills transferred to her that way she will get the harassing calls from the collection agencies. You could also take her to small claims court and sue for her portion of the unpaid hospital bills since there is a prior court order. Good luck and I hope everything works out!

Id say no. I know every parent doesnt want there kid suffering. This is a tuffy. Keep track of your paperwork just in case she tries anything underhanded. If anyone tries anything with you. Tell them they better think about what there doing first. And let them know your not the responsible party. If they want you bad enough they might try something like threatening you. Just get there names and dates they showed up or called you. Phone numbers to. The more proof you get the more dumb theyll look. Ive been dealing with these kinds of people for along time. Its better to be prepared then not at all. It also shows your kid your doing something right for him. Theres nothing like a parents love for there kids. It will hopefully show them they have to step up for themselves down this road we all call life.

hey dummy, your kids, are your responsibility ! what do you think would happen had she died? you are gunna have to take care of it before it destroys your credit. after that i believe you could sue your ex for the extra expenses you put forth.
