I remember making pretty flowers from tissue and tissue paper as a child in school and Bible school. I would love to be able to do this again for old times sake even though I am 41. I would enjoy a little blast from the past I suppose. Thanks!

Barnes&nobles crafts section, try the various arts& crafts books there, they have some wide range of selections you can choose from! ^-^

I vaguely remember doing this myself once upon a time... and I'm 43. Seems like you took the tissue or Kleenex and folded a thin strip on one edge - turned the tissue over and folded it back the other way - flipped it over and made another fold and just back and forth like that until you have one long thin strip tissue.. I remember putting a bobby-pin across the middle of it (that became the stem) folding it in half, and then either trimming part of both ends off - and then fanning out all the folds or just fanning it without trimming?! I hope that at least partly made sense :) Good luck and have fun!

Vague memories of buying a box of coloured tissues, fuse wire and green electricians tape. Fold the tissue in half, then fold into a concertina, hold the middle part and wrap a length of wire around to secure, leaving a long piece of wire trailing for the stem. wrap the tape around this. Fan the tissue out to make your flower. Good luck

This site will show you how to make a huge one. Once you see the directions, you'll be able to adjust it to make smaller ones. If you want to see some beautiful flowers, look for the coffee filter flowers on the Martha Stewart site. She has a video to show you how to make them.
