Our Government is fast tracking legislation that will give 12 to 20 million Illegals Amnesty, this is their reward for breaking the law, what about all of the immigrants that are becoming American Citizens legally, Does this say to them, your hard work means nothing. We the people are not being represented by our Government, they are doing as they dam well please with the sovereignty of our Nation. I have contacted my senator, but to be honest I feel an overwhelming sense of helplessness in this matter

I want to be clear... I do not have a problem with anyone trying to make a better life for them selves... BUT this legislation really just burns my hide. Not only can we not absorb the 12 - 15 MILLION not to mention the bill will allow their family members clear passage here too... the social security system is teetering on bankruptcy, we will pay through taxes an average of $15 - $30 thousand dollars a year to each on any one of the current 90 welfare programs. And what about all the immigrants who came here legally and are lawfully waiting in line to become citizens, this is not fair to them. This will just have the same effect as the Regan amnesty program, will send a message of come on up and enjoy the entitlements. This also has the real possibility of wiping out the GOP, and leaving a ONE party system, that would be devastating to this country.

It would be far less costly to build a wall and over a period of years round them up and kick them out than to have to pay the tax burden that comes along with supporting the "Illegal Immigrant Invaders". Enough is enough. They must go, the wall must be built, business must be penalized for hiring illegals and we need to build more prisons...LOTS of them. That way if they enter illegally let them sit in prison for a year before getting deported so they wont want to come back.

They are always saying how terrible things are in the home lands so they come to America in droves, but if those droves would just stand together like Americans once did about 225 years ago, they could make a difference and change their homelands into something worth staying for. America just makes it too easy for them, while her citizens carry the burden.

Yes, i second the notion of an american revolt by its citizens against the government. People are getting REALLY ticked off now. How we are capable of keeping are cool, i dont know. I'm just waiting, contacting my senators and congressmen.. If any amnesty bill is passed, i WILL be revolting, and i WILL be instigating the next civil war. Start stocking up on food guys! I dont have much faith in our government anymore.

Imagine trying to kick that many people out of our country. It'd be costly and impractical. I understand your concern, but I think that registering the illegal immigrants has an interesting implication. Those who come forward will be the ones who have nothing to fear because accept for the illegal crossing, they have been generally law-abiding. Those who don't come forward have something to hide and will be the ones that the government can target for deportation. That will mean targeting the worst ones and will reduce the large practical problem to a smaller practical problem.

Yes, I think that's one of the messages. Middle class people do not matter to this government, except at election time. If you think that the main motives of the Bush administration are to help the illegal immigrants, think again. Cheap labor is needed by business.

Don't forget your congress person. They will have to approve this too. You should also contact all the presidential hopefuls in the senate and the President. Keep up the hammering, you are not alone, and we are seeing the back sliding already. Even Obama almost has a stand.

The government has ignored any solution that may be detrimental to big business. Us ordinary folks are just wandering aimlessly in a political desert.

It sadly appears that way. I can't believe illegals have more rights than legal immigrants and U.S. citizens.

Citizens must be given priority to benefits and social welfare more than the illegals.
