Depends which one you mean..Jonathan King and Laura Branigan did a version (not together) U2 made a different one with same title as did Van Morrison and John Lee Hooker...

If you're talking about the one that goes "Gloria, I think you're out-numbered!" The original one is by Umberto Tozzi. But if you're talking about "Gloooooo-ria, G-L-O-R-I-A...", it was Morrison with his band, Them. Both of those songs were covered by just about everyone!! You should make a "Gloria" compilation!

but i think the troggs did it first
the doors also did a different version
but called it 'gloria'
and u2 covered it too
theirs was called 'gloria'
