I am Brazilian and wanted to know what the first impression that you has of Brazil?

there are several impressions i have about brazil. when i was a kid i thought it was just poor and people failed to wear clothes. i thought it to be a very sexual nation. i have seen statistics where they say that 75% of brazilian men are either bi sexual or gay. but as i got older i learned that brazil has some of the best beaches in the world. i learned that the samba was a big part of the brazialian culture. i believe that mardi gras here in america stemmed from carnival. i learned that the protugueise enslaved the brazialian people and they used to have the africans dress provactivly. the catholic church pretty much ruled brazilian society back during those days. i think brazialians are intellegent for manufactoring their own aids/hiv medication through india. 20% of the brazialian medical allownece goes towards aids medication. i think that brazil is humaine for giving aids patience's free bus tickets, and ferry tickets to travel around the country. i learned that brazil is pure capitalism. there is a lot of crime and corruption with in brazil. some times more then others and sometimes less then other nations. just depends on what region of the world we are comparing. brazil has a lot of natural resources. in school we talked about either china or brazil some day becomming one of the worlds super powers. i think first impressions are always wrong. you have to dig deeper into a society to truly say you understand a society. brazil and america do not have to best relationships. when america imposed a visa on brazilian citizens to come here to the us the brazilians did it right back. brazil can become a great nation and super power of the brazilian people apply themselves. do not allow themselves to be taken over by a more powerful nation. brazil is a resourceful nation. completley independent of foreighn oil. for 6 years now. thats all i can think of now.

first of all you should'nt worry about our first impressions as you as being a brazilian, it should be as a person, remember, were trying to be the next generation without race, and i hope stereotyping, but on the lighter side if your a female your probably gorgeous, being that all of the "victoria models" mostly all come from brazil, just be a good person, dont worry about your race, after all america is sopose to be a mix of everything, the only people this land really belonged to was the "native americans" the rest of us all came from somewhere, so we welcome you with open arms and say enjoy, elizabeth
