In my case, I go to http://www.scottrade.com/ and type in my identifying information. Then, like just yesterday, I typed ATRM (Aetrium, traded on Nasdaq) and rechecked the information I read from the day before. There was a tab labelled "Trade" which I clicked. Then I noted that I was buying, how many shares, clicked a couple of other things and got a summary screen. I checked how much it was going to cost me, with my $7 commission charge, and clicked my approval. There was an order confirmation screen (which I could print out for my physical records if I wished). Then I clicked the Home tab, where the summaries for my stocks and account balances are held--it had already been bought: cash deducted from my totals, stock in the list of holdings, and already (in this rare case) was showing a profit (I bought at $4.22 and it closed at $4.35 and if I had bought the day before, before I slept on the decision, it would have been sweeter still).

Not hard.

Hello there, Online trading requires a specialized software that enables you to do online buy's and sell'ing of stocks, curriencies... and other derivatives using a live quoted pricing.
You don't need to have a broker to do this for you any more, with the internet you can do it from any palce you want. However you will need to sign up with an online trading investment firm or bank. They will give you access to a software which you could download directly to your pc and start trading. of course you will need first to open a bank account which ranges between 3000 $ - XXXXXXXX$..
With every transaction you make they will be taking a small commission.
Using this software and whenever you buy a stock you will be able to trace this stock performance and whether your gaining or lossing money, you will be able as well to put different built it commands, to stop your loss, or to sell once the stock reaches a certain target.
Trading for stocks is usually available for different markets world wide, mostly the U.S markets open from 9-5.
You can check on how stocks are performing by vising
http://finance.yahoo.com/
Upper left hand side put the ticker YHOO and check how is yahoo's stock is performing.
Its advisable that you don't buy and sell without doing a detailed study of the stock and preferable to take specialized training courses which enables you to do some techncial analysis to stocks to enable you to decide which ones to buy.
You can even Sell a stock and then buy it and make money out of it.

Online trading is where a vendor displays his products and a customer displays his requirements thru internet.

If they matches, they will transact and a fee will be paid to the website holder.

Say, For example, I need a Wrist watch of model X, i will search in the internet or put a requisition. If i find a suitable one, i will order for it by using credit card / VPP mode. The Supplier will ship the item to me and i will pay him. For the transactions made, a small amount will be paid to Website.*
