The value(s) of land in any area of the country depend strongly upon what type of land you are describing, plus where it is located. If it's a piece of landlocked swamp, expect to get it very inexpensively. If it's a parcel located directly at the off or on ramp to an interstate highway, expect to give one arm, one leg, and your firstborn to get that piece.

In other words, each piece of property bears its own value based upon desirability, which is based upon land quality and location.
