Im curious about celeron m 440 as i am using one. it says its 1.8ghz. but when o boot my laptop a logo appears which says intel core inside.i bought my laptop early this year and ive read a lot of bad things about celeron. is celeron really bad? some say it can never play games. im sad to hear this, can anybody say a less biased assessment of this processor?

A celeron is a very good processor. When it comes to video games what is most important is how high the clock frequency of the processor. Celerons play games just as well as a more expensive Intel processor at that clock frequency. A 1.8 ghz celeron should perform almost as well as 1.8ghz pentium 4.

Oh boy, that is a FAST Celeron based on Intel's Yonah core. It's like a Core Solo but with 1mb L2 cache instead of 2mb. Try it on Super Pi 1M and you will be amazed w/ the result; beats most business desktops.
Got one too on an Asus A9R. I guess we've got a winner.

It depends. But Celeron processors are known to crash.
