Does anyone else think it looks totally lame? I mean, don't get me wrong, I love Nancy Drew. I love her books, computer games...I've even considered checking out some of the old TV series from the library. But this movie seems totally stupid. I mean, first of all, Nancy is older than the girl in the movie. And where's Bess and George? I hope they're there...but I don't know. And, would the real Nancy Drew try to fit in with the popular group? I don't think so...

Yes, from watching the previews, I have to say that the movie seems to be geared towards pre-teens which is good for them, but for some of us who have read all of the Nancy Drew classic mysteries, it's very disappointing to see the way Nancy is portrayed in the upcoming movie version. And they are going to ruin Hardy Boys too, I heard, by casting Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller as Frank and Joe Hardy.

There was a black and white Nancy Drew movie. The Hidden Staircase. Nancy was a dizzy babe and Ned was a pipsqueak. They should it late one night on TNT.

Like ALL of us in the world, Nancy Drew is being herself. Being yourself is always not a crime. It doesn't look lame at all to be yourself.
