By placing the cursor over the link, verify (at the bottom left of your browser) the site IS who they claim to be. If not....DO NOT give any personal information to them. NEVER give your passwords or account information to sites unless you show a "secured connection" (padlock on the bottom right of your browser) and even then......be sure you know who you're dealing with. This sounds like "phishing", which allows people to look into your system and retrieve vital info. Everything you do or site visited on the net is stored in temporary files on your hard drive. Set your browser to "delete files" when the browser is closed. Delete history every day, install popup blockers and install SPYBOT. Run Spybot, popup blockers, and antivirus every week at LEAST. Hope this helps?

a million) in case you probably did not make the request, assume this is a phishing attempt on your knowledge. 2) in case you do could replace your knowledge, do not use the link in the digital mail. flow immediately to the information superhighway website (therefore, domicile windows stay) and use the information superhighway reset. The link in the digital mail may look "same" to the rather link although might want to fairly be a link to an better unrelated website making an attempt to get your knowledge. many monetary organisation/PayPal scams use a same device. yet another danger is that each body tried to login with your account and requested a password reset. in this social gathering, the "forgot password" selection effectively despatched you an digital mail, no matter if you probably did not request it. At this ingredient, be suspicious that each body is likewise attempting to wager your account significant factors. you may prefer to be particular you've an authentic comfortable password (mixed case, alpha numeric, 8 or better characters, now no longer in a dictionary, and so on...).

It definitely sounds suspicious. Unless you originally asked for a password change, I would not trust the email nor the site.

Immediately stop and run an antivirus scan
