You can check the Indiana Department of Child Services. Click on the link below to get to the child support bureau. Have handy any documentation from the court case that issued the support judgment. You may need to forward this information to the IRS. Good Luck

The other posters are incorrect. Only the government can garnish a federal check. Did you file a case with a government agency? Check with them if so. If not, they dont automatically do it.
The way that you get this done is by going through your state child support recovery office. They handle the legal work for you at little to no charge.

They will open a case against him. These organizations usually have a pretty good recovery rate. I know in Georgia, the deadbeat has to pay,or they lose their drivers license, get their wages garnished, their property or assets are seized and sold and federal checks are garnished.
Good luck... I know where you are at and its tough. Keep your chin up.

There rather isn't some thing to do yet wait. The injured better 1/2 declare on the IRS takes 8-11 weeks to procedure, then regardless of is due is going to the monetary administration amenities to distribute for that reason. Judy's answer is authentic with regards to the refund and rebate.

Contact the Department of Taxation, or whatever it may be called in your state, and inquire. Also try the people that issue you your checks (Welfare Assistance). You will not get the check yourself, as the state will take whatever monies that are owed, and send the residual to your EX.

Contact the department who handles child support. I'm not sure what the call it there. In PA it is domestic relations. Anyway, when my ex owed back support they had to request the tax refund, after they received it they processed the payment and I had it in about 2 weeks after they got it.

Texting lets you control the tone and establish what kind of conversation you want to have. Learn here https://tr.im/JAss7
This is probably the most important part. With texting, you can stop and think about what you want to say to your ex at each step of the way. Instead of reacting emotionally, you can take your time, figure out the right thing to say (I’ll give you most of it), and be strategic with your ex without saying something that you’ll regret.
