You did good buy fallowing up on that phone call.
when someone loses or gives up personal information that can be used against them in identity theft as you know it's a sickening feeling.
and by the time you find out you been Had its to late some damage has been dun to you.
and as you know for you to find out info on someone doing this to you its going to cost you in more ways then one. ,and at the end you'll find out that all that info you just pad for is most likely no good because it's not even there real name and address and phone numbers can be changed.
Over the privacy protection law, well good luck on finding someone that is willing to put there job on the line to help you and give you the info you need to stop someone from harming you anymore, it's like thy think your the one doing the theft.
The Best thing to do is stop it before it happens.
there are three major credit reporting union,
Trans Union.
Equifax.
Experian.
sing up for a credit monitoring.
that way anytime anyone including your self ,opens up an account of any kind thy will let you know.
It will also help on keeping your own score and not picking up someones bad scores just because you both have the same name.
and you'll also find out just who has been looking in to your credit and way.
its worth paying to protect you and yours and not paying to try to find them after the damage has been dun to you.
I found out that I lived in places I'v never been to , just because someone has the same name as I ,and accounts that where pad off in full for years where still open .
good luck babe hope this helps.
