My husband told someone something that was very nice and quite shocking to over hear about me. It was shocking because what he said I don't get the sense of it at home.

Was he just trying to impress the other person or did he really mean it?. He said.. I was quite beautiful and he was very lucky to have me in his life. I have never gotten this sense from him.

He means it! he's your husband, you know My bf who I've been with for 4 yrs is sweet and fun but is not very forward with his emotions, and never tries to come up w/ any lines or anything, about two years ago I saw a mutual friend well mostly his but he had introduced us and he told me every time he sees my boyfriend he thanks him for setting him up with me and he's so happy. once in awhile there'll be moments like this and I love it. The fact that you find out from others makes it cuter to me. Anyway, You know how some husbands and wives are constantly saying neg things about each other like being married is a chore. It's sweet that he talks about you like that with others besides he wouldn't talk you up to people he knows and you have/might meet he definitly means it. guys have a lot of levels too even though they don't act like it often.

well, some men don't like to show their real feelings infront of the ones they love,if urs is that type, then what he said may be the truth that he doesn't want u to know and he's trying to hide by being rude or anything like it,as he may think that if you know about it u may use it,or he may have said that about you because you take his bad treatment or rudeness or being cold or anything like it without complaining.
but if he's that kind who would like to impress the others by what he have then he might have said that just to impress that person he was talking to,well u know ur husband better than us which one is he??

I don't see what it is to be confused about. You should be thrilled. I would love for someone to say that about me. Stop looking for trouble. You're a lucky woman.

Why question what he said or who was in front? Just enjoy it and thank him for that comment. Why has there to be a "confusing feeling" if somebody makes a compliment?
Enjoy it!!

Ask your husband if he meant it! sometimes men have trouble sharing their feelings directly with their partner. Sometimes men don't know how to show their feelings as well.

take it as a compliment. maybe u just dont get that feeling from him because, like a lot of men, he doesnt like (or is incapable of.lol) showing his feelings.

why would he lie? if he tought you couldnt hear him and he wanted to say something he didnt want you to hear, it could have been a whole lot worse

take with a smile and enjoy

Take the compliment for heavens sake and stop overthinking everything. If you don't feel he feels that way TALK to him, now there is a novel concept actually taking to your spouse!
