They won't grow in my area. The growing season is too short. It's a small price to pay for the views that I get.
If you haven't had one already, try Pink Ladies. They are delicious.
I would rather not have someone shoot one off of my head with an arrow.
Pigs like them.
Tomatoes, in days gone by, were called 'love apples'.
Horses do not eat 'horse apples'.
Nobody eats crab apples - not even crabs.
Stay away from teachers named Mrs. Crabapple.
Apple pie is as American as -- well -- apple pie.
You can make nice prints by slicing one in half, painting one side of it and pressing it onto a piece of paper.
You can create a mini-orchard with the seeds from just one apple.
If you plant one, you have to have another cross-pollinator nearby. Oh...and some bees.
Their flowers are lovely.
The apple gets a bad rap by being associated with Adam and Eve. The fall of mankind was not based on an apple, folks.
My favorite party game is "Apples to Apples". You should try it -- its hysterical.
Applesauce is my Sunday School teachers favorite food.
I can give you lots more. I'm kind of amazed at the amount of useless apple trivia lodged in my little brain.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, if thrown at the right aim and velocity..
the secret is, if it's a softer apple, to aim for the head, and if it's rock hard, then throw the apple at the body..
I know that one bad apple can ruin a bunch
I know apples and cheese are delicious..

A catalogue of types of apples and breeding stocks is called a Pomona which was the godess of fruits and orchards and is also the name of a delightful pub on Ecclessall Road where lots of students go. Apples are nice. I like rustic ones.

They used to have a lovely smell - like apples, but they don't seem to have that anymore. I know I used to steal them out of my neighbour's orchard when I was a child - those were the nicest apples I have ever eaten. Orchard is now a massive housing estate!

Lets see, they grow on trees. They come in different colors red, yellow, green. They are a good source of Vitamin A. They are yummy in baked goods, pies, cakes, muffins. If you cut one and leave it out for a bit, they turn brown quickly, but you can squirt some lemon on them to try and slow that down. We enjoy apples cut up with honey, carmel, or peanut butter. But the best apple is covered with Carmel, rolled in peanuts, dipped in milk chocolate, dipped in dark chocolate, and then rolled in toasted coconut:P

I know they are a healthy food, low in calories too. I know my daughter likes them and she enjoys the flavour and the crunchy sound they make when she takes a bite and it makes her hum a tune while shes eating thats good enough for me :)
