It seems to be a bit drastic to reformat the drive and reinstall Windows and it is a lot of work having to reinstall all the other programs you will lose in the process.
Once you have reinstalled Windows and re-installed all your programs you are back to where you started. So what is the point?
It is like trying to become a virgin.

Here ..... Everyone is saying something like "RIGHT CLICK ON THE C-DRIVE, AND CLICK ON REFORMAT" but DONT do that. >=[ It only kills your PC. Seek for advice on the Windows website. But first back up any data you want to keep, then do a reinstall of XP as it says on their site =]

Format your hard drive with Disk Manager or any another software and repartition it and load the OS you want. Now you have a New One!!

If you mean what I think you mean is "format" the hard drive which wipes all data from it. You can do it with a windows installation cd which asks if you want to format the drive during installation.
