most new dvd writers are dual layer, which means it is capable of writing on the second layer...Dual sided DVDs are also of concern...A normal DVD is 4.7GB...with dual layer, it can go to 4.7x2 GB...with dual layer dual sided, you can store up to 18.8GB.. I suggest getting a Samsung DVD writer...Try searching it...
