Only in the 3rd world countries where the bride has to be a virgin and proof on the wedding night, is it important. No one else on the enite planet places any importance on it. Men marry women because they love them. Not because she is a virgin.

The hymen is simply a thin skin partly covering the external opening of the vagina, and it can very easily be broken by doing any strenuous exercise. In a few cultures, an intact hymen is proof of virginity before marriage. I suspect though, that you are asking if virginity is important in marriage. If indeed you are, then once again, in certain cultures and Countries yes. Most men now days realize that their girlfriend has had a life before they met however, and are not too concerned about it.

This is an old thing from before women were considered equal to men. It is still important in countries that hold on to the old ideas.
In those same countries, as in the rest of the world, women are considered wanton and loose if they are promiscuous, while men are not. Double standard.

It is important only if you and/or your future spouse think that it is important in today's world. It does not matter what anyone other then you and your partner think. You will be the only ones that know.
