In XP, right-click on any photo and choose "Print".
The Photo Printing Wizard will open and walk you through the process.

When you bring up your photo's, click on EDIT, you can re-size them there. or, after you have chosen your printing preferences (paper type and such) click OK, then a box should come up asking you what size pics you want, it also shows you an examples of what they look like in different sizes, just click the one you want, press print and away you go.... You neglected to say what type of printer you own.
Start, printers and faxes, right click on printer, open `properties`, click on `printing preferences`,
This will open a new box where you should be able to see two letterboxes where you can choose the size of your paper printout and the paper style.

When you click on to print you should get an option as to what size you want and it will give you a preview
