If by stop the earth, you mean rotation, and by get off you mean die, then we would all "get off" as it were. If Earth's rotation were to suddenly stop, the oceans would CONTINUE, travelling thousands of miles inland. Volcanic activity could drastically increase as magma in the mantle would also continue to flow. Bad news.
But there are probably no more bodies massive enough to hit Earth in such a way as to be able to stop Earth's rotation, and in any case would heat the earth's crust to effectively sterilize this planet of all life on anyhow.

Weird question, but where do want to go?
I dont think it is possible to stop the earth rotating, however if a massive asteroid hit us, it could change the earth's orbit.
But the effects of the earth stopping will be detrimental on human and ecological life.
For example we could not have any seasons, thus the weather being permanent winter or summer.

Hmmm. I think if we did, we'd feel the full effects of the Sun's gravitational pull and die.
But I wouldn't mind getting off either.

Sure. All you have to do is reach the speed of light, where time will stop. Then the Earth will stop, but then again, so will you. Good luck.

earth has strong gravitational force, can't get rid of it..however if you get a hit at escape velocity of 11.2 km/s , you might land up outside in space...get ready for a strong kick
