Lil Meg - At the risk of getting too deep - you have just pointed out the ultimate curse of our intelligence, it creates our Ego.
For me it is not intelligence which causes all these problems, it is Ego.

Yes. And we are not intelligent as you suggest. If we were intelligent as you presume, why would we commit attrocoties on fellow human beings. Why would we start wars. Why would we prejudice someone because of the colour of thier skin. Why would we rob, rape and pillage.
I have a cat, SENSI and sometimes whilst studying my cat, I get this weird feeling that my cat too, which is also an animal, is probably far more intelligent than you and I.

theres no changing the fact that we are all mammels and animals we where just lucky to develope thumbs and speech. And for some intelligence. Which I had got some of that one

Yes at the end of the day we still are animals.We might think we are smart but look at what we have done to our Planet.Killed off species, kill each other, hate certain animals like crocs,etc , Removing all of our resources and POLLUTING our planet.

I think we are. According to science, we are animals. We're not minerals or vegetables. I know we're intelligent but biologically, we're advanced apes.

we are animals. and if we were that intelligent why do we let such useless things happen like war, poverty, tony blair, off roaders, george bush, terrorism. if we were so smart we would try to do something about all of these not just one, cos we have gotten rid of tony blair.
