A tech told me that the reason is that it wasnt physically running. So i bought another harddrive. Put that one aside. Here' the Situation.Itried to conect it again a few days ago and surprise surprise..i feel it run! But everytime i put jumper to try put it as a slave, it stops running. I trie all the Jumper settings. Put the Jumpers in and it stops working. But once u remov them it starts running again. Maybe there's a short curcuit somewhere. The motherboard doesnot see this Harddrive.Even when i disconnect the master and try to connect it as the ONLY hard drive. The system just doesnt pic it up (MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE JUMPERS.) Any ideas out there??

Doesnt sound like a simple jumper issue, more like a hardware fault, the BIOS cant see the drive is a bad sign, meant the drive either getting no power, or the electronic within is gone, hence no communication with the motherboard.

Like my Cd drive... maybe it's on the jumper problems.

you are switching it off before adding the jumper right???
do both harddisks have the fault?
replace the ide cables, if that won't work the mother board has some serious problems

there is suggestions on it. device configuration, your gamer profile, pre loaded demos, the OS, community settings and particularly some different issues that actual run the XBOX. look at any gadget with a stressfulcontinual, you will no longer get the stated stressfulcontinual length via fact of issues like OS
