Yeah but women get one more opening and it depends how you count them, for instance you missed out ears but included "connection between mother and child" which I can only assume is the bellybutton, which is not an orifice. Also there's not 9 planets in the solar system. I can't remember how many there are now since Pluto has been diclassified, it might be 8 unless they've discovered some more.
Completely circumstantial I am afraid. However there is a connection between the number of fingers we have the counting system we use.

I have 10 openings in my body, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 2 eyes, one mouth, one urethra, one vagina, one anus. 11 if you count my navel.
If you're counting a navel, you have to count a mucus membrane like the eye socket.
