I always started with 500 in the middle and then added all the taxes etc to it when people had to pay. The person that finally landed on it, was thrilled. If you read the directions, it says to do nothing... I think its more fun the other way dont you?

Yes, even though the rules don't include that.
So many people do, so they should make it a rule that Free Parking=$$$$$$!!

Absolutely, Also when 'horse trading'. If strong player has eye on weakest player, we allow the RE trade out of turn if the stronger one gives the weaker one free pass on his 'entire' street when loaded with hotels. ha ha, it just allows them to keep entertaining the rest of the players.
