Why is it always black and white? South/Central American people are looked down on by Mexicans, Lighter skinned blacks look down on darker skinned blacks. Heck I'm white, and I hate alot of whites....Too many forms of racism, I dont think it will ever end. I think there are alot that dont want it to end, unfortunatley.

I don't know if we'll overcome racism or bigotry of every kind. I highly doubt we will. Sure, some white people ignore it. Some black people ignore that they're racists, too. Most bigots probably don't think they're bigots. This isn't a white-versus-black or a white-versus-dark people problem. Bigotry comes in many forms. Most people who discriminate ignore that they're discriminating and justify their actions. That's no surprise.
As for how you're being treated at your company, you have to understand that we live in a very sue-happy society. Although I believe that your claim is legitimate, your coworker probably thinks you're being oversensitive or exaggerating your complaint to receive sympathy or benefits from the company and your fellow employees. This propensity to sue over anything and everything causes people to assume that all declarations of discrimination are false.
Since you're still employed and the person you complained about resigned, I don't know what else you want or what else can be done. You won. If you feel uncomfortable at your job, then start applying at other organizations.

Racism will always be here, but we all need to acknowledge when it happens, and all fight to help get rid of it as much as possible. We also need to understand that it is a two way street. And when someone like Louis Farakhan says that the Jews are the blood suckers of the black community or when Jesse Jackson says that New York is Hymietown they should be treated the same way that Don Imus or Micheal Richards were treated for their ignorant racist remarks.

Are you saying white people are the only raciest in the world? You have a lot to learn about racism. Sounds like you're trying to cover up doing a bad job at work by claiming racism.

ok i honestly think racism is a persons choice.. i'm white and am not racist but i do feel that SOME black people play the racism card too much. so i'd like to say that i agree with you but i would need more specifics in your case. right now i would just say that your employee is a dick and needs to have his *** beat

"Do SOME white people ignore it" is a racist statement.
so is "...another employee of the company (caucasion) made me feel as though...".
anyone can be a racist, not just white people.
and the race of the person at work who did not belive you should not matter. unless, of course, you know everybody of your race belives you and its only those white people that have a problem with you.
you may have had this problem at work because people do not like you, not because they dont like your race.

It's not just the KKK, hitlers, medes, persians, & arabs that are racial. I mean look at Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton! There will always be people into racism BECAUSE there's MONEY/POLITICAL POWER in it!!! Not all people are "decent" people. Sorry to hear about it for sure & hope the "enviornment" which you work in can move into the "modern" era!

You should walk into a place where Caucasians don't go or in a minority, you will see it is probably the same. I have experienced it myself. It sucks both ways I am sure.
If it makes you feel better, I LOVE YOU. Just not in a bad way :)

Just mentioning the word WHITE in your question ... answers your own question... "no, it will never happen."
"The only way to overcome any kind of racism is to stop discussing it"... and i agree with that statement, which by the way was from a famous black actor.

This isn't what you want to hear...but white people experience racism too...it just isn't talked about because we are a majority.
