i use AVAST ANTI VIRUS 2007 my laptop is too slow

Try AVG anti-virus w/c you can get from http://www.download.com/. You can also try other anti-viruses or other softwares like anti-spywares from that site.

There is a free on-line scanner at trend. The slowness is probably due to the virus, not Avast.

Avast is not bad for a free virus scanner. AVG is good to. Check www.toptenreviews.com if you are going to buy a new virus scanner.

I use nod32 the best out there for me atleast. catches everything and plus doesnt need a lot of resources so your computer doesnt slow down.
