Post Script, you put it at the end of the letter/email, to state something you forgot to include in the body.

P.S. = post script

It's something that is added after the closing of a letter and the signature. Post = after Script = written

While PS meaning postscript is useful for amending a handwritten letter you have already signed, I don't see much point in using it in email. You can always edit an email, and put the additional information in the most appropriate place.

Post Script
P.S. is a way to add something later to a letter.
There is also a P.S.S. which is the post script script. Something added after the P.S.
