Oh my gosh girl! The orlando airport is like a frickin' mall! My mom and I spent hours there lol. They have tons of stores. when I say it's like a mall, it's LITERALLY like a mall. You'll see what I mean. You will NOT need to leave OIA (airport)
Edit: Hey check this out. It's a list of all the stores and stuff at the airport. There's even a borders if you just wanna read and get coffee.

By the time you either rent a car or take a taxi round trip to the Florida Mall, and do any shopping at all, you'll have spent more money than you would if you follow my suggestion:
The Hyatt hotel at Orlando International (which is connected to and owned and operated by the airport) has a day rate of $89 or $99 (depending on the season). If you brought your swimsuit with you and checked in to a room for the day rate, you could enjoy the pool, the exercise facility, or even just kick back and relax for those five hours so you could finish your trip feeling more rejuvenated. Your room is five minutes away from the security checkpoint. If you want to do this, you can even reserve the "day room" in advance by calling the hotel directly at 407-825-1234.
I have done this several times before, and it's definitely worth it. The airport itself has a nice food court (including a Fox Sports Bar and a Maccaroni Grill), and a pretty decent retail court.
The entire airport also has free Wi-Fi, so bring your laptop or PDA.

There are some great places in the airport itself. There's a Macaroni Grill, a Chilies, and the FOX Sports Bar right there. But if you want to leave the airport, head towards the South exit onto Semoran Blvd 436 about 2mi on your right and you'll find The Orlando Ale House. Less than a $10 cab ride. Great place to relax eat and drink. Highly recommended.

My suggestion is to just hang out at the airport. MCO is HUGE. There are some nice stores and several restaurants to check out. Also it's fun to sit and people watch. You see all kinds of people going thru the airport. And depending what time of day your flight is it can take about an hour to get through MCO security. So by the time you left the airport and found something to do outside you would have to get back to the airport. So just sit back and relax and hang out at MCO it's not that bad. Have fun.

I would just stay at MCO. The place is huge, and it is actually quite nice. There is a large food court, shops to browse in, and plenty of stuff to see. Also the opportunity to people watch is there. You see some really strange things at an airport. We were delayed when we left after a Disney trip, and actually had a good time sitting in the airport.
Hope this helps!

i would suggest a good magazine or book to keep you occupied. its not worth the hassle to leave the airport. there are a lot of shops all thru the airport. however, if you really want to leave, the Florida Mall is the only thing close enough to bother leaving the airport.

actually, the orlando airport itself has shopping right inside of it. there isnt much, but its something. the florida mall isnt too far, but the traffic out that way can be backed up at times. you dont want to miss your flight due to traffic. i wouldnt risk it. stay at the airport, you're better off.

won't be able to communicate for Miami, yet public transportation Orlando isn't popular. in case you're staying close to the subject parks, many inns supply complimentary holiday provider to a pair areas...................in case you're on Disney belongings, they have their very own bus device.....................in case you're staying in downtown Orlando, you will choose cabs to get to subject parks...........via fact the city bus device does no longer take you directly to subject parks....................
