hey you guys, need some serious advice. I cant work this guy out. There's this guy who i've liked for ages, i get the idea that he likes me, but whenever i try to talk to him he wont let me get close. last time i saw him i was getting on with my work, he was heading down the stairs but saw me and my group member and came back up to sit on the adjacent table behind me. At first i thought okay this guys rude bcuz he didn't say hello or nothing. But i thought just be polite, u know what he's like, so i got up and said hello, he was doing the whole i'm really busy thing, and started pretending to be preparing for a presentation, but all he had was tracing paper and it's near the end of the semester im not sure there's presentations. Ne way he stays there for like half an hour, later on i go off somewhere thinking that i really annoy him. As im getting back to my seat, he starts taking quick strides towards me so we cross paths, he could have taken any other path.

You court him and if he says yes, that means He like you and if no he do not like you. Do not force yourself to him.

Hi
sounds like he is either painfully shy, or doesn't like you at all and thinks you are a pest?
So lets go with the shy one.
Do you know his mobile no? does he have yours?
Slip him a note with your number on, perhaps with something like want to go for a drink?
and see what happens.
You could just ask if he fancies going for a coffee but being so direct might scare him away totally.
At least if he has your no. "the ball will be in his court".
Good Luck

OK, he's obviously pathologically shy... just ask him out, no point in overcomplicating it!
