5 - 1 + (8/7)(x8) + 8^2 first thing...
4 + (8/7)(x8) + 8^2 now distribute the 8/7 into x8 and we get
4 + 64x/7 + 64 which equals
68 + (64x/7)

If you need further help or clarification email me or im me. Good Luck.

First off, he never said it was an equation! Order of operations! Multiply and divide first! (1(1/7)) x 8 = (64/7). 8 squared = 64. Now add and subtract. 5-1=4, 4+(64/7)+64, 68 + (64/7). simplify fraction. 7 x 9 = 63. so, 9(1/7) = (64/7). 68+9= 77. 77+1/7
