Why do you want to excel . The same reason. If in a sense you are so content that you want to bask in the glory of achievements , there would not be any future worth living for .There is always a morrow turning today .

Because we have a vast imagination and if it is filled with what we wanted so far; and it feels like there isn't enough content, we still haven't got what we need.

apparently you are under the illusion of having it all when in reality you dont. that is the only possible explanation unless you are like me and refuse to be content, if you were to be content you would have no reason for living for you have already seen all that life has to offer.

Some people do not know what they want or need. They chase one goal get it and go on ever searching for the unknown. That is why they are discontent they do not know what they want.

The ideal way is to search for nothing and accept everything

What you wanted wasn't aligned with what you were destined for. This seems like the problem of someone who has delineated from his/her purpose, or at least is not doing it. And...If I can get a little religious...there is one that is ready and always willing to help one find one's focus. (sorry for the "one's", college teaches one to write mostly in third person. LOL)
