You have asked a very good question .

Your answer depends on how "you" define eveything and pointless. These two terms are based solely on your own frame of reference, that is ,how you view your life and experiences I would not presume on that as you are the only one who can answer that.

Pointless to you may mean something else to someone else . For example an apple falling from a tree to many is pointless or at least boring but to Newton it was what he needed to explain gravity.

Everything - I won't even touch that one - how do you or anyone else know what that means? Countless actions of both you and I promote reactions in others that we do not even notice. Therefore they are not pointless even if thatreaction is negative.

If you ask what you think is a stupid question there is always a reaction, you may think it is "pointless" because you did not get what you wanted but others will react by either asking themselves the same question or think that you asked a stupid question. The only person that sees your question as pointless is you.

You ,along with every other contributor here, has the right to ask or answer a question. We may not like the questions and will definetely not like all the answers but we keep on posting.

If you feel that your questions are pointless then take a minute before writing and frame your question a little more carefully.

People ask reasonable questions in here KNOWING they could find the answers on the internet they are either too lazy or incapable! Questions about feelings or personal situations are asked because they want an outside point of view.
If you think your questions are completely pointless, sounds like you are bored! I would love to be that bored in my life, where there are no problems, so I could ask meaningless and pointless questions of people, such as this one!

Sometimes One must make many pointless questions, in order to get an answer that makes more sense than the question(s) itself. Hopefully, One may find the pointless question answered, amongst the pointless answers. The task is, to find the pointless answer that makes sense to you.

U think ur questions are pointless? Why? Do you youreself feel it, or u feel so because others have told you? think, Don't give a damn to what others say. Its the occupation of the world to point and blame, u shouldn't be valuing those words. Be yourself and in being urself ur point and specialities lie. It isn't a matter of embarrassment if you ask something that troubles you... :-)

I think the number quoted is that 80% of all questions can be determined to be statements of fact:

"...everything I ask is so pointless."

Try asking pointfull questions.

To come to this point of conclusion that you are indeed asking pointless questions - ergo, you are not necessarily throwing pointless questions.

Because people are curious.
Mine are as well.
Pointless questions make life fun.
=)
Especially when you can ask them on the computer.
Then people can't give you a nasty look and say
"That was pointless. You're retarded." or "Why do you ask?"
It's just better.
=D

Well I have to give you credit for asking this in an area where is might make some sense. Though, really, this is more a mental health issue than a philosophical one, still, it has it's philosophical points.

If you would ask your dad to send you to a military prep boarding school as I suggested for your rail gun nonsense, you might find your life more interesting, at the very least you'd have less time on your hands.

Why do you think they are pointless? Do others not respond or do you not like the answers you get?

You could be bored. And this is certainly not a pointless question!
