Should viewers of Jericho be able to demand a season finale?

CBS cancelled Jericho just the season finale was winding up the season. Is it fair to viewers for networks to delete shows cold turkey?

Oh my gosh you need to sign the petition that someone started online ; it is www.petitionsonline.com/jericho and please go and sign it and dont let Jericho die without a fight .
