Quixtar = Amway

Amway has been around for almost 50 years, according to their website, so it is clearly NOT the next big thing. The guy at work that is trying to get you in, will make money from getting you in. You will have to get other people in under you to make money, and the money will travel up to the guy at work, and higher. That's the way MLMs work.

Network Marketing, or Multi-Level-Marketing is a way to make money. It's not a get rich quick business, and it's not for everybody.

Check out these things before signing up into any MLM company.

1 - Is the product good? What independent researchers say so? (not just the company's own team of scientists)

2 - Is the company publicly traded on the NASDAQ or NYSE? If so, information about it will be public - if it's privately owned, it's harder to research to see if you think it will still be there in 10 years.

3 - Is the "team" you're being asked to join doing well? See if there is some upline people that you'd be dealing with DIRECTLY who actually run it like a business?

4 - How is the pay plan? Can it be understood without bringing your lawyer with you? And do you get compensated well?

The average distributor in a network marketing company makes about $1800 per year. Obviously, the people at the top make the most money, but I'm sure when you start that you will be closer to the average level. If you can retire on $1800 per year, go for it.

NO! Trust me, it's NOT! Avoid Quixtar AT ALL COSTS! I had friends who did it and later really regretted it. Do research online on Google and you'll come across TONS of negative stories.
