Somebody who constantly plays a certain type of role in a movie. Example: William Zabka ( http://www.fast-rewind.com/kkid/zabka_s.jpg ) always played a jerk in the 80's movies he was in.

Typecast is like beign stuck in a particular role/thing. It usually refers to an actor's roles

When an actor plays one role so brilliantly that that becomes the only type of role he gets offered--like Vincent Price playing villains or Jack Nicholson playing crazies.
