our builders are struggling against the disadvantage of not being imaginary.

Hi, the bible tells us that God made the world in seven days and some take that literally. Since the bible is a book about religion and beliefs it does have a biblical spin as to who God is and how the whole cosmos came to be, including us. Interpretation is the key and you can discuss this forever. As you say it took not thousands of years for us to get here but if you go back to where it all began, it has been four billion years more or less.

Listen to what you said....God made the world in seven days, how come it takes thousands of years to build what we have today????

We are not GOD therefore we can not do as he,it takes a billion years for us to TRY and build what God has.

For this answer we are going to entertain the concept of Creation, I say that so that we don't get all the usual 'That's because God doesn't exist' bunkum.

Elsewhere in the Bible it says that with the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. In my humble opinion that means, quite plainly, that in the Dimension that God comes from, there is no linear time.

Time means nothing to God in other words, different set of laws of physics perhaps, who knows?

(The term 'God' being the word the ancients came up with for a being of incredible abilities and seemingly magical powers)

Therefore, if you have no concept of linear time, you are able to terraform a world and still call it a day. We don't know how fast time goes in this other dimension. Perhaps we do have 'angels' zooming around beside us while we look as though we're statues to them.

Then we come to superior technologies. In Star Trek, an old fling of Kirk's, Dr. Carole Marcus is chief director of The Genesis Project - a terraforming technology that can bring a dead planet to life and have it teeming with complicated organisms within days if not hours.

Are we so arrogant as to insist that our technology is as good as it gets and there aren't discoveries around the corner that will make our current level of understanding seem as primitive as cro-mags and neanderthals seem to us?

I am a believer but have always tried to look behind the romanticised, religion to what may have actually been going on ... and it's landed me in a bit of hot water with Pastors, other of The Faithful and a particular niece of mine who have thought my theories ranged from blasphemy to insanity. However, I was given my enquiring mind for a reason.

Your question assumes that there is a god. If this is the case, then you might consider the possibility that time may not be taken literally in the book of Genesis. If this is the case, then the creation of the universe and the appearance of our species on this planet may still take billions of years while still conforming to a metaphorical interpretation of the book of Genesis.

Assuming that there isn't actually a god, then we can view technological evolution as a function at first of the evolution of human intelligence. Secondarily, we can view the evolution of technological capability as a function of the development of the tools that enable us to "build what we have today" (i.e., computational capabilities, materials science, etc.).

First of all it was only a few days, the next couple were creating plants, animals and humans. On the 7th, he/she/it (ill use 'he' from here out simply for ease of typing) rested.

Well, based on the definition of God (religious or otherwise), he could have done it in micro-seconds. Obviously he took his time.

Meanwhile, mankind, has had to learn technology and science step by step, with no help from higher powers. This process takes thousands of years. There is no proof that God had any hand in humans developing technology. 99% of religious leaders will attest to this.

Based on how everything has happened, from a religious point of view, God created the world and the laws of science that govern it. He has let humans figured it out for themselves, and created their own civilization - for better or worse.

God took 7 of his days to make the world. Our days did not exist until AFTER He made the world. Considering how old the universe and Earth are in our years, then God's days are very, very long .

because god didn't create the world in 7 days. even in churches they don't teach that anymore! The seven days thing is like a metahphor to express how powerful God is, and to make it easier for people to understand how their universe came about.

Plus, you don't look like God, so it would take you a lot longer.

right this is a fascinating question for you. How will we get fossils and so spoke of as fossil gasoline?? If a fish falls to the sea floor does it become a fossil? No. There are an entire host of unpolluted-up style of creatures for that objective. Why, then, will we've such a number of petrified fish fossils and a number of different sea creature type fossils? while a fish or animal dies it is no longer fossilized despite if it decays. How then will we hit upon such a number of fossils in dirt and dirt? next, what approximately fossil gasoline? Is it from dinosaurs who died in some ice hurricane or a metaroal blast? How is it that we've oil and coal from a similar ordinary style of carbon yet in diverse varieties? the only answer is the flood. while the earth became flooded, it did no longer stay nevertheless yet persisted to coach and the kenitic capability could have been sufficient to stirr up each and every of the plant life genuine off the planet, it could have been sufficient to go entire mountain tops and place them someplace else. while God wrote approximately it, He pronounced that He opened the doors of the deep and broought down the water of the air. while the water receeded, it went returned to the earth, carrying the celulose (plant life) with it. the place water became in a position to leach away, we've coal, yet the place the water had to have interplay with it, we've coal. we've been in a position to breed it in labs right this moment, it is genuine technological awareness. think of!! extremely think of particularly of listening to idiots that don't extremely provide you data yet far fetched theories that are impossible below our regulations. in case you opt to understand, we use a similar measurements of ocean going automobiles right this moment as became diverse for the Ark. it is the main secure way.

In the bible it says that to God a moment is like a thousand years, I don't know where it is off hand but that explains why it took so long for everything to be made. Hope that helps. have a FAB day.
