Area of Triangle = (Base * Height)/2
= (21 * 16) / 2
= 168 feet squared

Area of Parallelogram = Base * Vertical Height
= 7 * 2.5
= 17.5 feet squared
NOTE: I am assuming you meant vertical height is 2.5 ft.

A = Area of triangle = (1/2) x base x height
A = (1/2) x 21 x 16 ft²
A = 168 ft²

A = area of parallelogram = base x height
A = 7 x 2.5 ft²
A = 17.5 ft²

TRIANGLE>base,21 ft.,height,16 ft.
A=(1/2)bh=(1/2)*21*16
A=168 ft^2

PARALLELOGRAM>base, 7 ft, height, 2.5 ft.
A=bh=7*2.5=17.5 ft^2

1.triangle=1/2*b*h
=1/2*21*16
area=168sq.ft
2.parallelogram=b*h
=7*2.5
=17.5sq.ft

let all measurements be in ft^2 unless specified.
Triangle = b1h/2
= (21*16)/2
= 21* 8
= 168
Parallellogram = lb2
= 7*2.5
= 10.5
l = length
h=height
b1=base
b2 = breadth

there are simple foprmulae for the area of each basic shape:

for triangle it is : (base * height)/2
for paralellogram it is : base * height

***solving it for triangle using formula we get:

base = 21 ft, height = 16ft.
=> area of triangle = (21ft * 16ft)/2
=> (336/2) sqaure ft (square ft because both of them were in ft so multiplying both ft we get square ft)
=> 168 square ft.

***solving it for parallelogram using formula we get:

base = 7 ft, height = 2.5ft.
=> area of triangle = 7ft * 2.5ft
=> 17.5 sqaure ft (square ft because both of them were in ft so multiplying both ft we get square ft)

both the formula are given in the very beginning
hope this culd help u out best of luck
