Pelosi failed right at the start, saying she wanted a fair balanced non partisan point of view in the house(she then went for Murtha) her true colors showed right from the start.Ried dclared defeat before the end of the war(a page straight from the thinking of Murtha. The saddest thing is the truth is right in front of the faces of the democrats, but the hate for Bush and the brainwashing from the media, blinds them to what these people really are like

What is cool is when these questions first started to appear, I was one of few that supported Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Now it seems in 4 months the light of whats right has brightened the "Dark Side". Peace

Uh... yeah. The UAW couldn't kill the pensions, had already agreed to address new workers for form of 40 p.c. a lot less in accordance to hour than eastern flowers, and refused to dice the ten p.c. pay + earnings disparity between older workers at US and eastern companies. because the UAW does no longer make that concession, and set a parity by technique of dropping wages by technique of a few greenbacks, some human beings in Congress squawked and reported "No!" to the bailout. yet, and not using a a private loan to the businesses the unions artwork with, there is of course no union individuals in artwork!

The majority Republican Rubber Stamp Congress failed ALL of us. At least the Democrats are trying to do something to stop King George from acting like a dictator. They've been in office for four months. And they've got to deal with a hostile President who thinks his failed war policies are ice cream and everyone ought to have two scoops while we keep policing a civil war in Iraq and the Iraqi Parliament takes a 2 month vacation when you'd think they might care that their country is in the middle of civil war and the violence is increasing. Meanwhile Al Queda grows in strength not only in Afghanistan, but in Iraq now too thanks to The Decider. It's not as though the Dems have a large majority to vote past the Bushie's. But The Decider got notice from the Republicans last week, remember? That's something when members of his own party have to inform him the White House isn't credible anymore where the war is concerned. Wait until the end of September when those and more Republicans join the ranks of those who are insisting on change. Will you post questions about how they are failing your party when that happens?

Republican 109th congress-worked 3 days per week (doing what, I don't know)
Changes since November 2006 elections: Rumsfeld gone.
Petreas and Gates on board with New military tactics and strategy.
Dialog with all of Iraq's neighbors. (They all had a meeting)
Maliki (being threatened with imminent U.S. pull out): Getting their government together, stopped protecting insurgents (Al Sadr and gang), getting clerics to work with U.S.
All of this due to Democrat's threat to end the war.
Did you miss all of those changes? This is in addition to the surge Bush demanded. It might have some effect now.
We would still be "staying the course" if not for democrats being in the majority. This conflict can't be won militarily according to all of the generals currently there and prior. All of the Iraq Study Group points will have to be done comprehensively for any hope of a satisfactory, expedient outcome.

Yeah, your right, I mean, after all, they had all of 6 MONTHS to change 7 YEARS of a messed up Republican Congress and Republican President.
Yeah, they failed...give it a rest. "Dumbaya" ran the Iraqi War in the ground for 4 years. If you call Pelosi and Reid failures, WHAT DO YOU CALL DUMBAYA?

You are right in that they have not accomplished much. Really, the only good thing that Pelosi has done was her trip to Syria.
But, at least they are trying to end the war.
Then again, it has only been four months since they took the majority. (And a slim majority at that!) I can't expect much to change in that short amount of time.
