It is highly likely that your driving privileges were/are still suspended. If not, the clock starts as soon as you are picked up.

There could be a warrant out for your arrest and you would have been taken in had you been pulled over and a record search done.
Best thing to do is to contact the court where the citation originated from and talk to the clerk there....I'm sure they'll work with you to get this off your record.
